We offer different kinds of help, like taking care of them, being friends, and helping them go out. We do this based on what each person needs. Qualifications & Experience
• Cert III in Disability, Age Care or equivalent.
• NDIS Worker Check. • Current Police Clearance. Job Duties:
• Give special care and help to disabled people at their homes and in the community.
• Help with everyday things like taking care of themselves, doing house tasks, and going out.
• Help them become more independent and make friends.
• Make good relationships with participants and their families.
• Follow plans and rules to keep participants safe and well.
• Keep good records of the care you provide. • Talk well with the people inside and outside the organization.
Skills Needed:
• Know how to support people with disabilities.
• Care about others and want to help them.
• Talk and connect well with participants, families, and the team.
• Can work alone or with others in a busy place.
• Be on time and flexible to work at different times, including weekends and evenings.
Extra Good Things:
• Have a paper that shows you learned about helping people with disabilities.
• Know how to give first aid and CPR.
• Can work with kids and have a check that says you’re safe to do that.
• Know how to work with people who need more help.
• Know about special tools that help disabled people.
• Know how to manage behaviors.
